Avanade Inc. Northeast Delivery Management Executive in Boston, Massachusetts

The Regional Delivery Management Executive is accountable for delivery performance excellence within the Region and ensuring that all contracts leverage the skills, capabilities, and assets in the Region to meet the commitments made to customers. The Regional Delivery Management Lead is responsible for the leadership and execution of the Delivery Management function within the Region.

This includes:

  • Responsibility for the leadership, planning, project coordination and management of the Delivery Management function in the assigned area to support the delivery needs of the Service Lines and customer(s).

  • Active participation in the Regional Leadership Team.

  • Cascading policies and programs to team members throughout the Region.

  • Escalation management and delivery management issue resolution across the Region.

  • Responsibility for status and risk reporting across the portfolio of customers in the Region.

  • Governance of solution architect/planning processes and delivery management processes/controls to ensure cross-service line consistency.

  • Providing Delivery Management capability development and calibration within the Region and in coordination with the Talent Communities.

  • Responsibility for optimizing team and individual contributions to achieve stated objectives. May serve as a Career Manager; provide delivery and technical expertise, and mentorship to colleagues.

  • Managing to the QA and Managed Delivery policies within the Region, as well as participating in the Delivery Management and Operations processes.

  • Review and approve deals and ROMs at the regional level.

  • Written contracts tie to the scoped effort and deal as shaped by Avanade processes and shown in Deal artifacts.

  • Provide portfolio oversight and issue resolution within the Region ensuring each project/program adheres to the following:

  • Governance Management: Establish governance structure and ensure governance is effectively providing the decision-making support needed.

  • Risk Management: Enable the processes, tools and techniques to identify, analyze, track, manage, escalate, and resolve risks that impact the project’s/program's ability to meet the goals and commitments of the project/program.

  • Stakeholder Expectations Management: Ability to understand stakeholder goals and expectations, address any misalignment, and monitor and control the project/program to meet/exceed the agreed upon expectations.

  • Scope and Requirements Management: Ability to monitor and control program scope and requirements. This includes scope and requirements of all the projects/programs.

  • Business Case Management: Understand customer's business case, address any misalignment, define business metrics, define business metrics data collection process, and monitor business metrics collection process and report value realization.

  • Financial Management: Define the project’s/program's financial management process and monitor and control project/program financials.

  • Contract Management: Implement the processes through which the performance of work for a customer is coordinated with the contract rights and obligations of the parties to ensure contract compliance (or that the contract is modified as appropriate).

  • Release Management: Define release plan, ensure appropriate staffing, coordinate and support all release activities, resolve risks and issues.

  • Resource Management: Oversee the human resources component of the projects/programs, enabling the processes, tools and techniques to organize and manage project resources including defining the project/program resource plan, monitoring resource needs, securing resources, and monitoring team's satisfaction.

  • Estimating: Use AEM estimator to create or validate estimates for all projects/programs.

  • Performance and Reporting Management: Define project/program performance and reporting requirements (types of reports, metrics, target audience). Establish the performance and reporting management processes for projects/programs.

  • Quality Management: Define quality management activities including establishing QA schedules, ensuring quality management tasks are included in the project/program work plan, analyzing quality issues and implementing continuous improvement activities.

  • Avanade Connected Methods for Program and Project Management: Effectively implement and utilize Avanade's standardized methods (Avanade Connected Methods) to guide global teams through tasks and activities to achieve highly productive, reliable, predictable and cost-effective solutions for coordinating service levels and agreements, as well as managing multiple, ongoing, interrelated projects to achieve specific customer business goals.

  • Contract Management: Demand Management: Provide skills and experience related to demand management - management of the incoming work, while maximizing resource utilization and encompassing the strategic forecasting of demand as well as the capture, authorization and staging of new demand and the tactical day-to-day monitoring/balancing process within a domain to execute against that demand.

  • Procurement Management: Enable the processes, tool and techniques required to acquire goods and services in order to attain project scope from outside organizations including procurement planning, solicitation planning, proposal solicitation, source selection, contract administration and contract closure.

  • Program Management: Manage multiple, ongoing, interrelated projects to achieve a specific set of customer business goals. Coordinate service levels and agreements and prioritize resources across projects and entities.

  • Global Delivery: Optimize cost to serve using delivery centers and multiple workforces.

  • Service Management: Manage service by designing and building operations solutions for aftermarket (or maintenance) businesses to improve customer service, drive incremental revenues, reduce operating costs and increase asset turnover.

  • Service Provision Management: Manage the development and delivery, including capacity planning, customer satisfaction and day-to-day operations, ensuring that service level metrics are monitored and that service level agreement targets are met.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of increasingly diverse or complex experience.

  • Demonstrated managerial & leadership expertise, which includes experience leading projects for customers.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related.

  • Proven track record in leading the delivery of consulting projects using Microsoft technologies.

  • Established leadership and management experience through leading large teams of developers/engineers.

  • Proven ability to articulate complex business and technical concepts to senior level executives (CIO, CTO, Chief Architects) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to develop and mentor junior team members.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Ability to delegate tasks.

  • Certification in SIDL.

  • Certification in QAD.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Certification in Project Management (PMI)

  • Certification in SISA

  • Microsoft Certifications
