About the role:

Your work will support Avanade Commercial and Transactional attorneys with a variety of technology agreements and/or templates in North America (U.S. and Canada).

Day-to-day, you will provide support in the following areas:

  • Review, draft and redline a variety of technology agreements and related documents which may include amendments, work orders, non-disclosure agreements and change orders.

  • Balance numerous requests simultaneously, while communicating proactively with and remaining responsive to your supervising attorney.

  • Identify, communicate, and escalate issues appropriately to ensure compliance with company contracting policies and risk positions, as needed.

  • Assist in contract management functions and other tasks, as needed.

  • Work closely with company data protection and export compliance teams in initial reviews, assisting attorneys in managing contract risk.

Qualifications

Knowledge and skill requirements (technical and functional)

  • Interest in data privacy, issues, including GDPR compliance, and technology a plus.

  • Excellent time management, prioritization and organizational skills.

  • Flexible and adaptable “people person” who recognizes and celebrates others’ talents and contributions.

  • Superior communication skills and experience with active listening and understanding information gathered from various sources, and ability to communicate promptly and pragmatically in a business context.

  • Passion for technology and willingness to learn.

  • Ability to contribute positively as a member of a team in an intense, fast-paced environment.

  • Agility in navigating a diverse organization and obtaining inputs from stakeholders in a productive and timely manner.

  • Results-driven problem-solver who can take ownership while remaining inclusive of others.

  • Ability to work independently in a legal support role.

  • Disciplined, focused, thorough and dedicated to meeting high standards of excellence.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a global organization, in person and virtually, across time zones as needed.

  • Ability to meet deadlines on short time frames and under pressure, setting and adjusting priorities quickly.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products is preferred.

Your education

Minimum Bachelor’s degree required and currently enrolled in law school. Professional certifications or courses in contract management preferred .
