About the role:

As a Director, Growth & Strategy, you will be responsible for leading strategy development across a range of businesses and geographies within Avanade. You will help define and drive the overall strategy for growth, and help transition those strategies into concrete plans for implementation. Additionally, you will often be at the forefront of leading the initial implementation efforts. The role will provide the opportunity to work with Avanade’s senior leadership on a variety of different topics. The role will also enable the successful candidate to transition to other parts of the business to continue their career development

Day to day you will:

  • Lead strategy development efforts for key consulting practices, functions and geographies

  • Interact with senior leadership and subject matter experts within Avanade, Accenture and Microsoft, as well as external research analysts

  • Analyze internal and external research to develop recommendations

  • Present and defend options and recommendations to senior executives and other high-level stakeholders and decision-makers

  • Define success factors and critical milestones for strategic initiatives

  • Coordinate the initial implementation and handoff of key initiatives and plans to relevant field and functional stakeholders

  • Support and mentor junior colleagues on projects

  • Create and implement work plans for assigned projects to support Avanade’s objectives

  • Support the translation of group strategy into objectives and work plans

  • Coordinate work across different workstreams, processes, and/or projects

Qualifications

Your Likely experience:

10 + years of experience in a global business strategy and/or consulting environment

3+ years in a Management or People Leadership role

In addition, your skillset likely includes:

  • Experience in strategy development

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organization and coordination skills

  • Strong written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work individually and in teams

  • Ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members

  • High confidence in own judgment

  • Ability to work with high and extreme latitude in determining focus and approach to work objectives; comfort with ambiguity

Likely Education:

MBA preferred. Bachelor's degree in International Business, Strategic Management, Business Analytics or related degree or equivalent experience
