About the role

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is a key technology for some of the most strategic and sophisticated projects we deliver to clients. It is a crucial tool in helping our clients succeed in their digital transformations. RPA expertise is in increasing demand at Avanade and we are actively growing our team across the US and Canada.

As a Consultant, RPA, you will be responsible for coding and configuring automation process components from low-level design (LLD) or technical design documents (TDD) to meet defined requirements. You will also validate automations by performing unit testing and ensuring that configuration control is maintained at all times.

Day-to-day, you will:

Develop new processes, tasks and objects using core workflow principles that are efficient, well structured, maintainable and easy to understand

Comply with and help enforce design and coding standards, policies and procedures

Work collaboratively with test teams during the product test and UAT phases to fix assigned bugs

Report status, issues and risks to tech leads on a regular basis

Improve skills in automation products by completing automation certification

Travel as needed.

About you

You enjoy putting innovation to use for client needs. You are curious about new fields of technology and eager to master those new technologies. You can work without close supervision yet are also adept at collaborating with colleagues.

Your background and skills likely include:

A programming background on any coding language (preferably .NET)

Training on RPA tools (e.g., Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere)

Understanding of automation components and features in RPA products

Understanding of process design documents and technical design documents in the RPA space

Understanding development methodology and lifecycle

Experience with at least one process automation project, using one of the industry-leading RPA products

Analytical thinking and ability to improvise configuration/coding in new situations.

You likely have three years of development experience and a solid understanding of programming concepts. You likely have a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, computer science or a related field. You will be a more desirable candidate with certification in industry-leading RPA products.

5+ years of development experience and solid understanding of programming concepts. Should be from a programming background on any coding language (preferably .Net). Minimum of 1 process automation, using one of the industry leading Robotics Automation Product. Understanding of Process Design documents, Technical Design documents on Automation space. Good understanding of various automation components and features available in Robotics Products. Understands development methodology and lifecycle. Should be trained on RPA tools (Blue Prism/Automation Anywhere). Should be analytical and able to improvise configuration/coding to new situations
