Security Solutions Architect, Group Manager
About the role
As a Security Solutions Architect, you will enable consulting, managed services leaders, client account teams to address client security needs and advise in end-to-end deal solutioning of infrastructure consulting services engagements. These efforts will often include data gathering, analyzing, reviewing security architecture, contracts, master service agreements, and taking client calls to address their concerns in a proposed solution. You will apply strong client facing skills to clearly articulate information security requirements for proposed solutions to Avanade’s customers. Day-to-day, you will:
Work with the Director, Global Client Information Security (GCIS) based in the United States, to collaborate with Market Units and corporate Avanade to update and execute on client information security sales, delivery, and client data protection (CDP) support
Advise global business development teams to shape and sell complex deals with security and/or compliance implications and needs for technology services and/or maintenance efforts
Aid legal, sales, Governance/Risk/Compliance (GRC) and the Security Sales Support team with resolving client security requests in a timely manner
Advise the field on Avanade client security concerns in pre-sales, delivery, and client data protection (CDP) efforts by recommending solutions, security controls, security technologies and approaches to strengthen Avanade’s approach to protecting client data security and privacy, especially in areas of migration
Aid sales and pre-sales efforts by recommending security technologies and approaches to strengthen Avanade’s approach to client needs, especially in areas of migration or construction of data center technologies, data center operations, or DevOps transformation
Act as a lead evangelist on security related subjects having to do with Microsoft Azure, public cloud, virtualization, container technologies, infrastructure transformation, networking, and/or data center operations
Respond to client security responses globally from the Americas, Europe and Asia Growth markets
Enable field resources worldwide to promote Avanade’s information security readiness and to increase Avanade sales through information security training and high-quality enterprise social media contributions
Work to help the field have a confident conversation on information security to address client information security concerns, Azure security architecture, Azure Security Portal, Azure versus AWS comparisons
Strong ability to demo cloud technologies to client and stakeholders via Skype and in person as required
Work with peers in Avanade and Avanade Corporate Partners to review and update information security narratives to extend market competitiveness for the cloud
Travel as needed (up to 30%)
You are an accomplished experienced information security professional, who has supported sales and delivery teams through security solutions architecture, and a passion for information security. Your background and skills likely include:
5 years or more of information security experience working in cyber security and/or information security, and implementing security controls
Hold one or more security certifications such as: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CISSP-ISSAP, ISSEP, ISSMP, CCSP, HCISPP, CGEIT, CRISC, CCSK, CIPM, CIPP/E, CIPP/C, CIPP/US
Experience addressing client information security concerns in sales and delivery engagements, to meet compliance requirements for HIPAA, GLBA, PCI, SOX, PIPEDA, and GDPR
Ability to contribute right away by helping to address client security support requests
Microsoft technology stack experience with Exchange Online, SharePoint Online Skype, O365, Azure, Dynamics 365 solutions
Experience providing security architecture design for line of business and/or specialized operations technologies and processes in past roles
Effective communications and response with Avanade and client stakeholders at all levels of the organization
Strong problem solving and stakeholder expectations management
Ability to translate policy or security concepts and information security requirements for non-security professionals in sales and delivery
You have worked with sales and delivery at a highly technical business unit or organization. You may have worked in the past in similar roles with firms such as Accenture, IBM Global Services, EDS, CSC, Microsoft, or boutique Developer Operations (DevOps) consulting firms.
Your education should include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. You will be a preferred candidate with education in information security, business management or equivalent experience.
You are a stronger candidate with two or more security certifications or recent experiences in consulting architecture or sales engineering that involve DevOps integration or operations transformation in applications and/or technology security. Your understanding about governance, risk, and compliance will be well tied to your approach on security architecture.
You are excited about obtaining or maintaining security certifications in security disciplines, particularly including security of application development and/or data center services. This may include obtaining vendor related security or architecture certifications in the future.
